Abstract
At UCL HUB of Intelligent Neuro-engineering (HUBIN), our research vision is to develop new-generation wearable medical imaging & health monitoring technologies with a miniaturized profile, a lightweight form factor, multi-modal functionality, and high imaging resolution. We exploit advanced engineering approaches including medical electronics, microchip design, AI-empowered signal/imaging processing, and wearable technologies to realise a sophisticated platform that will enable the creation of a range of wearable imaging and sensing systems that will offer unprecedented spatial-temporal resolution and patient comfort. These will lead to wide-reaching applications in multiple sectors including human-robot interaction (HRI)/brain-computer interface (BCI), neurological & cardiovascular diseases, surgical imaging, rehabilitation, clinical neurology, and personalized digital healthcare.
